Colt Madrid was a state-of-the-art, 6MW, high-security data centre housing 1,500 racks across two data halls, covering 24,000 sq ft of flexible, mission-critical space. At the time this was three time the six of the average data centre.

Delivered under a Construction Management form of contract, the project presented unique challenges it was built within an existing structure being constructed by others at the same time.

Andrew led the project and construction management and coordination required to navigate this complexity, aligning multiple stakeholders, design teams, and contractors to maintain programme certainty and technical performance under pressure.

The result was a resilient, high-capacity facility that met Colt’s demanding standards for reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
